Simon completed his Bachelor of Science majoring in Geomatics at the University of Melbourne in 2016. While he was studying, Simon worked as a land surveyor. During Simon’s Master of Engineering degree, he was interested in remote sensing and completed research into boundaries detection using aerial imagery.
After his graduation, Simon started his career as a GIS analyst in Melbourne. He gained experience in the implementation of efficient and effective urban, rural and remote spatial data capture projects for Strategic Asset Management and Valuations. Throughout his GIS career in Melbourne, Simon has delivered spatial analysis, training and technical support services to local councils.
Simon is enthusiastic about the future possibilities in GIS across different industries. He works closely with the Select Carbon team and is passionate about helping Australian farmers and landowners grow their capabilities and move towards carbon neutral.
