Richard is the Lead for Finance, Commercial and Strategy at Select Carbon, bringing over 15 years of experience as a finance professional across Australia, Asia and Europe. He has spent the past six years leading finance support for carbon and environmental projects across Australia and India, working at the forefront of the role of nature and the environment in the energy transition.
He has also led finance for the formation of a joint venture operating across Tanzania and Uganda, focused on scaling sustainable forestry management to deliver environmental, societal and economic benefits.
Operating at the intersection of nature, climate, people and economic sustainability, Richard specialises in navigating complexity and leading through uncertainty. He champions the importance of safety through well-planned and efficient operations, and is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, having served as Treasurer of Shell Australia’s Gender Equity Employee Resource Group. He is passionate about the role environmental and agricultural stewardship can play in delivering practical, scalable solutions for a more sustainable future.
