Kate grew up on a traditional wool and cropping property in the West Arthur shire in WA. Kate completed a certificate in Equine Business Management at Marcus Oldham College in Victoria before working on cattle stations in the Pilbara and Kimberley. She has co-owned and operated family farms in SW WA for 30 years. The farms were mixed enterprises, with a focus and passion on producing Merino wool whilst introducing regenerative farming principles. Kate was an inaugural committee member of the ‘Bugs and Biology’producer group.
Kate has a strong background in book keeping and Human resource management, she has worked as Manager Corporate services for a large government primary school. This position incorporated all aspects of book-keeping, taxation reporting and other statutory compliance. She line managed staff and processed payroll.
Kate has a keen interest in event management and has organised logistics and catering for numerous events and field days. She is motivated to build communities
