Xiang completed her Bachelor in Beijing University of Agriculture (majoring in environmental management), and then went on to undertake her masters at the University of Western Australia to gain a deeper understanding in the environmental field.
Xiang completed considerable environmental, biological and chemical related analysis during her studies in China and Australia, such as environmental impact assessment, soil and water analysis and DNA sequencing. She also did an internship as a lab assistant at The Chinese Academy of Science, Key Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology during her undergraduate studies. At university, GIS analysis and cartography were her favourite subjects.
She spent time learning and developing her GIS skills before commencing her employment with Select carbon. Through her work with Select Carbon, Xiang is able to apply theoretical knowledge with real-world scenarios.
