Soil Carbon Project Manager

Janelle has wide ranging experience in the fields of production agriculture and natural resource management. Janelle has extensive rural farming system experience, with a track record of 25 years in providing support and technical advice to rural communities throughout southern and central NSW. Having worked for many years with NSW Department of Primary Industries and Local Land Services, Janelle has extensive project management skills both as a developer and implementor of numerous environmental and agricultural projects. Over the years Janelle has developed an excellent ability to establish and foster strong relationships with various levels of landholders, industry partners and government, with a proven ability to meet the needs of clients and organisations.

Career highlights over the years include delivering the PrograzeTM course to rural communities, providing assistance to rural community’s post 2018/19 bushfires, leading a group of agronomy and crop protection researchers in NSW DPI, developing a “Women in Agriculture” group on the South West Slopes, delivering numerous soil health and soil testing workshops and finally working with landholders on both practical agronomy and natural resource issues on their own farms.

Janelle has tertiary qualifications in both environmental and agricultural sciences, as reflected her career path. Working with various industry and research groups Janelle has helped to address issues facing the local landholder on practical scales.

Finally, Janelle helps her partner on a medium-high rainfall grazing property on the South West Slopes of NSW, thus having an close understanding of the day to day challenges faced by landholders.

Janelle is a member of the soil carbon team in Select Carbon as Project Manager. The role involves working closely with landholders to develop the most suitable, robust and successful soil carbon project to suit the needs of the landholder and to ensure the effective sequestration of soil carbon.
