Growing up in Tasmania, Aleyna developed a curiosity and commitment to agriculture and the environment. While in Tasmania, she worked on horticulture farms during the summer and involved herself with alternative agricultural systems in her spare time.
She graduated from La Trobe University with honours in environmental science however started her tertiary education in agricultural science. Through her honours project Aleyna developed her understanding of hydrology and is excited to apply this knowledge in farming systems.
Aleyna is a part of the soil carbon team at Select Carbon and is eager to aid in improving the function of agricultural systems, with a strong focus on soil restoration and the re-establishment of processes found in the natural environment.
