Select Carbon is a firm strategically based in the tropics of northern Australia, and is managed by a group of professionals committed to mitigating the effects of climate change through the development of carbon sinks, timber plantations and other land-use abatement activities.
Select Carbon develops commercial carbon sinks that follow guidelines set ou in Australian Standard AS 4978.1 (2006) Quantification, monitoring & reporting of greenhouse gases in forestry projects –afforestation and reforestation, as well as methodologies approved by the Clean Energy Regulator.Select Carbon is recognised under the federal government's Carbon FarmingInitiative (CFI) as an official offsets entitiy and is the project proponent for the Native Conifer Carbon Sink Project, which has been declared an eligible offsets project by the Clean Energy Regulator.
